Why study History?

  • Develop insights into understanding people, and the world in which you live.


What do you do?

In Years 10 and 11, the periods you will study are wide and varied. Some of these areas could include:

  • American history, boom, bust and the modern revolution
  • The First World War
  • An overview of changes to a particular theme, for example, immigration into
    Britain, understanding of how the identity of the people of Britain has been
    shaped by their interaction with the wider world.
  • Elizabethan England, the power, the people, the plots and the scandals.
