There was plenty of newspaper talk from Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic High School students as they used the theme for their dance routine.

The school entered the Lancashire Dance School Festival which is a collaborative dance show where schools in Lancashire are selected to perform at The Guild Hall in Preston.

Blessed Trinity were chosen for the event entitled ‘Dance All About It.’

“From this theme we decided to base our routine on the song ‘Read All About It’ by Emeli Sandi and we focused our ideas on newspapers,” said teacher Jo Baldwin.

“We used a variety of dance styles including contemporary, street, ballet, modern jazz and hip hop and we explored the different elements of a newspaper including headlines, the weather, problem pages, success stories and world news. “The girls Dance Academy started work on the routine while our boys created a sport section for the dance, practising at lunch times and after school.

“At the event, they loved it and performed brilliantly on the night which was a debut performance for the boys. I was proud of their commitment and professionalism.”
