Technology Technician (Grade 3)
Hours:   37 hours per week  
Term time:   38 weeks
Salary:   Grade 3 (£15,375 - £16,491) per annum pro rata


The Governors of Blessed Trinity RC College are looking to recruit a Technician to support the schools Technology Department.  The successful applicant will support the delivery of the curriculum across a range of areas including Design Technology, Food Technology and Textiles.  This is an ideal opportunity for either a recent Technology graduate looking to gain school experience or an experienced workshop technician looking for a change of career.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and will have a flexible approach to the tasks they undertake. They will have a good awareness of Health and Safety requirements and will use a range of technology equipment to support teachers and learners.  The Technician will need to have the ability to work well as part of a team but have the confidence and skill-set to work independently. 

As a busy, over-subscribed, 1,250 place 11-16 establishment. We have an amazing, purpose built school that opened in September 2010 enabling us to provide the very best teaching and learning opportunities within a bright, modern facility. The school is located in extensive grounds and provides a great place to work.

Situated close to Burnley Town Centre, the college benefits from easy access across the region by car, train and bus and is located just a two-minute drive from Junction 10 off the M65 and a short walk from Burnley Central Station which benefits from a newly opened direct train route from Manchester City Centre.
