Grade: Grade 6, Points 11 - 19 £27,269 - £31,067 (FTE)
                                          £23,664.20 - £26,960.12 (pro-rata)

Start Point: First Scale Point

Working Pattern: 37hpw Monday – Thursday 08.00am – 16.00, Friday 8:00am – 15:30

Contract Type: Term Time Only, plus INSET days

Blessed Trinity RC College is a busy, over-subscribed, 1,250 place 11-16 establishment.  We have an amazing, purpose built school, enabling us to provide the very best teaching and learning opportunities within a bright, modern facility.

The school is located in extensive grounds and is situated close to Burnley Town Centre.  The school is easily accessed from across the region by bus, train and car and is located just five minutes’ drive from the M65, Junction 10. 

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our Behaviour team.  The main duty will be the responsibility for the running of our On-Call behaviour room within this role you will support pupils who display challenging behaviour or are vulnerable to social, emotional, academic or behavioural exclusion.

Duties will include but not exclusive to:

  • Be responsible for the smooth running of the On-Call room in a calm and authoritative manner. 
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Be responsible for inputting, tracking and analysing pupil data.
  • Prepare reports for outside agencies recognising the need for pupil safeguarding where necessary.
  • Escorting pupils on external visits on occasion.
  • Be responsible for keeping an account of pupils in the On-Call room, maintaining proper order.
  • Be responsible for the administration of the school behaviour system.
  • Liaise with the Learning Mentor and Year leaders.
  • Undertake break and lunch time duties within working hours.

  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Has the ability to work with children and their families in a sensitive and positive way
  • Has planning, organisational and IT skills


The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and will have a flexible approach to the tasks they undertake. The position will be ideally suited to someone with previous experience working within a busy school environment.
