In English Literature, pupils will read and study a range of demanding literature ranging from Shakespeare, 19th Century whole novel, a modern novel or play, a poetry anthology and unseen modern poetry comparison.  Like the language, this course is final examination and only has one tier. Furthermore, pupils will sit two exam papers, the first lasting one hour forty-five minutes and the second lasting two hours and fifteen minutes.
