Headteachers Easter Letter

To the Community of Blessed Trinity

Dear Parent/Carer

I hope this letter finds you and your families well during this Lenten period. We are blessed to have such a strong sense of community here at Blessed Trinity and as always may I thank you for your ongoing support. Our pupils have once again fully committed themselves to the various fundraising events, leading on many of the initiatives and raising funds for the most needy in our local and wider community. They have fully embraced Catholic Social teaching.
We thank Father David Featherstone once again for his ongoing support to our school and both staff and pupils alike, and for once again organising and providing the opportunity for all pupils to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Year 11

As the Easter holidays begin, we are only 5 weeks away from the start of the main GCSE and Vocational Subject examinations. To support Year 11 pupils at this important time we have given them a GCSE Exam booklet which outlines again their exam timetable. Pupils should now be well underway following an effective revision timetable for the final run up to the exams.
Additionally, do be aware that there are a range of revision sessions on offer in school during the Easter break too. Please encourage your child to attend all the revision sessions that are available to them. Staff have been kind enough to give up their time to support your child and your support with this would most certainly benefit your child.
Please check Class Charts, your email and the school website for details.

Lent and the Celebration of Easter

As always our pupils have been incredible in putting Catholic Social teaching into action. There is much to be proud of as always. The sense of community shows itself clearly in our year group charities and how all pupils have either organised or supported a range of events and opportunities to help people less fortunate than ourselves. I know the support we give to Caritas is always gratefully received.

Additional achievements

Blessed Trinity has a long and established history of sporting and academic success, and this term has been no different. We have had success in many sports and pupils achieving in individual sports, and many of our pupils who continue to represent us at school, county, and the national level.

We are exceptionally proud of the Year 8 Girls’ football team and the Year 11 Boys’ football team who have now reached the final of the Lancashire cup. We wish them every success and we will share the details with you as soon as we have them. It would be wonderful to have as much support as possible to celebrate the success of our young people thus far!

We also attach our Spring Term 2 Newsletter. I am sure you will agree with me that our pupils have excelled once again and we are very proud of all they do.

Term Times

We close for our Easter Holiday on Friday 4th April 2025 at 3:15pm.

We welcome all pupils back to school on Tuesday 22nd April 2025.

Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the most important Christian festival, and the one celebrated with the greatest joy. May I take the time to wish you all a Joyous Easter!
