We couldn’t get everyone who has achieved awards and prizes on our photographs as there were so many but we want to say a huge congratulations to pupils who have won the Headteacher’s Award, a 100% Attendance Award, a Sparx Award – whether it was in Maths, English or Science – Merit Awards and Subject Awards.

One Year 7 who received a Sparx Maths certificate said: “It’s about independent learning and you get points when you reach a level. I enjoy it and it does help you in class.”

Year 8 Baran reached Level 50 in Sparx Maths and also does Sparx Science, Sparx Reader and won an Amazon voucher in the draw for pupils with 100% attendance.

“Sparx has helped me with my subjects in school and it’s also fun. I do it at home,” she said.

Year 7 Azariah has 100,000 Sparx Reader points. She said: “That means I have read over 70 books. I enjoy reading at home. I have a reading age of over 16.”
