Social and Emotional and Mental Health Support TA3 - 2 days a week
Blessed Trinity RC College, are looking to appoint a TA3 Social and Emotional and Mental Health Support 2 days a week
Required to commence: as soon as possible
Role aim: To support pupils with social emotional and mental health needs.
Role Overview:
The Social emotional and mental health lead TA3 will support pupils with their vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Have significant and successful experience of working with SEMH and children with challenging behaviour in an educational and/or social care setting.
- Deliver intervention to a small group of pupils/individuals.
- To support the Director of Inclusion in providing effective pastoral support to promote positive attitudes to learning and behaviour.
- To support pupils with SEMH difficulties by providing bespoke support and provide them with coping strategies to implement in lesson.
- To organise the efficient deployment of resources, monitoring their effectiveness.
- To work as part of a team to support colleagues and contribute to the vision and ethos of the school.
- To be fully conversant with statutory requirements and procedures relevant to the needs of pupils, and to provide advice about these to a range of stakeholders.
- To monitor the systems in place to support pupils and report these to the appropriate SLT member and/or lead profession.
- Update SLT/YLs and parents of support their child has received
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for recognising pupil achievements.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and pupils.
- BA Hons degree
