Chaplaincy
Lay Chaplain
Our Lay Chaplain, Mr Sean Preston, is a retired Head of RE from the school. He now leads our chaplaincy provision in the school. Ask him how you can get involved!
Mission Leaders
We are very proud of our dynamic team of Mission Leaders at Blessed Trinity. Every year group has a team of pupils who volunteer to plan lead our prayer activities and chaplaincy events.
Chapel
We are blessed with a beautiful chapel which is open during the week for prayer. Mass is celebrated in chapel throughout the year. It is used for reflective services of the Form Saints on their Feast Days, and it is utilised during the school day to run and lead some of the RE lessons. The sacrament of reconciliation also takes place in the Chapel and is available to all pupils during Lent.
Reflection Room
We have also made available a reflection room which is used throughout the week for Jumma prayer by Muslim pupils and staff.
Overview of Chaplaincy Activities
Here are some of the faith life activities around Blessed Trinity
Faith friends: Meet our Faith Friends from Burnley Building Bridges. Time to chat and enjoy each other’s company while taking part in different Interfaith activities. The Faith Friends meet outside the Year Leaders Office and offer an amazing opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds working together in the local community.

Eco group: led by upper school Year 7 are developing our Prayer Garden and exploring how we can be more environmentally aware in and around school. Amongst other initiatives, our Eco group planted 150 trees around school last year.

Jumma Prayer: Muslim staff and pupils are invited to offer their Jumma prayer on a Friday.
