Enrichment
Enrichment Days
In addition to our wide variety of regular activities, the Faith Life of Blessed Trinity is enhanced by occasional enrichment days.
Romero Day
Blessed Trinity recently hosted a Romero Day with the Gift teams from all the school in the Romero Family Trust, during which we explored how the life of St Oscar Romero inspires and influences our identity. Pupils reflected on how we are God’s microphone, speaking for the voiceless. Our day concluded with a prayerful celebration of Mass.

InterFaith Week
During Interfaith Week in November we run an Interfaith Day, with Input from Building Bridges. Workshops involved:
Muslim pupils and staff from school share their commitment to the Five Pillars which includes dressing up and understanding customs within Islamic culture.
Our CAFOD representatives run workshops on recycling and why it is important we answer the call of Pope Francis in Laudato Si as well as follow the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
We look at different Eastern Traditions and faiths, a Hindu Bollywood dancer, a Sikh drummer as well as meditation sessions all contributed to looking at the spirituality of individuals as well as key beliefs in faith expression.
In the Chirstian faith Fr David one of our priests and The Life Church look at ways faith is expressed through music and also through acts of charity. Helping pupils understand the cost of living and why food banks are an important asset in our modern society.
Through events such as Interfaith day we see how working together as a community we often share the same ideals and the same goals. Through working together we can create a home for the Common Good, where everyone in society can be helped and valued as part of the human race.

Faith Trails
Year 8 pupils take part in our annual Faith Trails to St John’s RC Church and Ghausia Mosque - in collaboration with Building Bridges (Burnley). Pupils particularly enjoyed being shown around Ghausia Mosque by Cllr Afrasiab Anwar MBE

Our Catholic teaching is at the heart of everything we do.
We live up to our motto ‘Love God, Serve Others, Work Hard, Value All’ in all we do in school.
This can be seen in a variety of ways such as the good deeds we do here, including with our Mission Leaders who promote faith life in school.
Our Mission leader also lead in charity events and every year they collect items such as toiletries and children’s toys for Safe-Net, women’s refuge.
