It means she will assist the High Sheriff during their year in office.

Olivia, who carries out a number of volunteering roles in the community, said: “I want to go into the police and I have been a police cadet since last September. You had to email in about why you think you would be good for the High Sheriff Cadet role and I was selected as one of only two police cadets.

“I am really proud and it will be a big year. There are some ceremonial events coming up soon.

“This will be a big step for me to get into the police.”
