Dedication pays off for Hollie-Mai

Year 11 Hollie-Mai was presented with the Headteacher’s ‘Above and Beyond’ Award at our recent Awards Day.

Hollie has attended every single revision session in Year 11.

“I wanted to improve my grades,” said Hollie-Mai. “It’s really helped me. In Year 10 in English I was predicted a Grade 3 and I got a 7 in my mock exam.

“In history, I was a Grade 1 and I got a 5 while in English Literature, I was predicted a Grade 2 in Year 10 and got a Grade 4 in my mock. I have been dedicated as I know how important it is.”

Head of Year Miss Wilkinson said: "We are so proud of Hollie-Mai and she will leave with fantastic GCSE results.

"She will go far in life because of how devoted she is!"

Hollie-Mai will go onto Burnley College to maybe study Health and Social Care as she wants to be a nurse or work in mental health.
