Headteachers Letter - 23 May 2025
To the Community of Blessed Trinity
Dear Parent/Carer
We now approach the end of another half term and I wanted to share some highlights from the last six weeks.
Year 11
Year 11 are well underway with their exams. This has been a very demanding schedule thus far and despite the rigor the examination period brings, the majority of our pupils have been working exceptionally well. They remain in school and high numbers of pupils have been attending all the revision sessions that have been available to them both after school and also on a Saturday.
The staff body have been impressed with their hard work and focus. We thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement to keep them going! I thank staff also for their efforts and support in preparing our young people so well.
We finish school on Friday 23rd May. There will be revision lessons on offer during the holiday break and I urge you and your child to check Class Charts or the website for the available subject sessions. Attendance at these sessions will build confidence and support any pupils with gaps in knowledge. All pupils should take time to rest and to continue with the last push on revision. We are here to help in any way. Please contact Mrs Wilkinson if you have any questions; ewilkinson@btrcc.lancs.sch.uk
Year 10
Next term for Year 10 will be a busy one. We have now shared the details of the upcoming mock examinations with all Year 10 and a revision resource booklet has been provided for all pupils. Parents will also have sight of this so please check on Class Charts. Please support your child in their revision. We will be supporting them after the half term with successful revision techniques to support their learning.
Year 10 will also be spending a week on Work Experience. If you have still not secured a place for your child please contact our Careers lead, Mrs Hart on khart@btrcc.lancs.sch.uk .
All parents should now have received their vouchers for the half term. If you have any questions regarding this please contact Mr Magee at mmagee@btrcc.lancs.sch.uk
All pupils will return to school on Monday 2nd June 2025.
Wishing you all a restful holiday.
Stay with us Lord on our journey.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs D Williams - Headteacher
