Jayden makes the grade!
Jayden is a Sergeant! Having started Air Cadets in September 2022, Year 11 Jayden has gained badges in leadership, First Aid, flying/gliding, marksmanship, radio and cyber, as well as completing his bronze Duke of Edinburgh award.
He got promoted to Corporal in September last year and in April he was promoted to Sergeant.
“It was tough as you had to fill in an application form, attend an interview and I was assessed as I worked as a Corporal. It’s huge for me as I am the only Sergeant in our squadron.
“It means I can do more courses when I am 16 and now have more responsibility around the squadron - it’s a high level of leadership.
“I want to go into the RAF when I am 16.”
