Year 11 Students look to the future
A number of our Year 11s are looking to the future as they await their GCSE results on August 22nd and prepare for life at college.
Eve hopes to go to Burnley College to study Spanish, Sociology, Law and Maths. She said: “I am keeping my options open. I want to go into Law but I am also interested in Maths so it depends how I do in my Maths GCSE.”
Haider is also going to Burnley College. He said: “I want to study Biology, Chemistry and Maths to do something in the medical sector.
“I have enjoyed PE at Blessed Trinity as I enjoy boxing, I go to Roche’s Boxing Club.”
Ben is also going to Burnley College. “I want to do A-Levels in Maths, Geography and Sociology and maybe become a pilot.”
Jaiden hopes to go into nursing or social care. “I want to go to Burnley College to do Health and Social Care. My mum and my sister are nurses.”
Molly said: “I have loved school as I love learning. I also want to go to Burnley College to do A-Levels in Criminology, Law, History and Sociology.”
Scarlett has her sights on maybe going to Oxford University but it does depend on her A-Level results.
“I want to go to Burnley College to do Classical Civilisation, History, Chemistry and Law.
“I haven’t yet decided whether I want to go down the science line or history. I have loved science at Blessed Trintiy, it’s a strong department.
“I have looked at going to Oxford and doing Archaeology but they only have 24 places.”
Former Head Girl Samantha is off to St Christopher’s Sixth Form to study Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Sociology.
“I would like to go to university and study maybe Biochemistry,” she said.
“I have loved Blessed Trinity as it has given me so many opportunities to contribute to the school community.
“I have taken part in the school shows, I was Head Girl and I have done such a lot.
“I have made such a lot of friends and had some amazing memories.
“Academically, I have been really supported especially with revision sessions before exams.”
Haley aims to go to Burnley College to do a T-Level in Construction.
“I have had my interview and it will involve design, structure and planning. I would like to be an architect.”
Amelia hopes to follow a career in science.
“I want to go to Burnley College and study Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science.
“I love science and it’s a very useful subject. The teachers have been really supportive at Blessed Trinity.
“I would like to go to university and study Physics/Computer Science.”
