Headteachers Letter July 2024

To the Blessed Trinity Community

17th July 2024

Dear Parents/Carers

As we approach the end of the summer term we would like to thank all pupils for their hard work and positive attitude to their learning and to school. More pupils than ever have been rewarded for their excellence in so many areas of the school life. The Junior Awards Evening celebrated the success of over 100 pupils recognising academic achievement, 100% attendance, positive contribution to school life and the community in which we serve.

The school show ‘High School Musical’ saw again a cast of over 100 pupils involved. It was simply spectacular. We look forward to next year and hope more pupils than ever will be involved. Please also take time to read through our summer newsletter which is attached, where you will be able to see the full extent of our pupils’ talents. They are simply fantastic! We would also like to thank all Parents and Carers, without your support we would not be able to achieve all that we do.

Year 11 2024 leavers
It is always a pleasure when pupils reach the end of Year 11 and to have witnessed their development over the last 5 years, as they have transitioned into young adults. We recognised their many successes in the celebration assembly and we celebrated with them at their prom. We wish them all every success and happiness as they move on to the next stage of their life journey.

Results Day
Results day for Year 11 is Thursday, 22nd August and we welcome our Year 11 pupils into school to collect their results from the theatre from 9:00am – 11:00am. Please refer to the letter sent in June that gives you the additional details.

September return
All pupils will return to school on Tuesday 3rd September 2024. Year 11 pupils will enter the school via the theatre and all other pupils in Years 7-10 will enter the school via the top gate.

Equipment
It is essential that pupils arrive at lessons equipped and ready to learn.
All pupils are expected to bring the following basic equipment with them to every lesson
  •    Pen (blue or black)
  •    Pencil
  •    Ruler

To support pupils, we run a school shop where pupils can purchase these, and other items, on a daily basis.

Calculators are required in a number of subjects. These will be provided in lessons if needed but many pupils choose to have their own.  If you wish your child to have their own calculator, we recommend the Casio fx-83GTX.

The summer holidays are upon us, we wish you rest and we look forward to seeing all pupils in September.

School will be finishing on Friday 19th July at 1pm.

Stay with us Lord on our journey.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Deborah Williams
Headteacher
